About ANOHC

A national voice built on community-level strength

ANOHC is the national membership organization for state and territorial oral health coalitions, connecting leaders, aligning efforts, and amplifying the work happening across the country, because no one should have to reinvent the wheel.

Our Mission

Strengthening oral health coalitions nationwide

The American Network of Oral Health Coalitions exists to make every state and territorial oral health coalition stronger. We do that by connecting members to each other, to national resources, and to a collective voice that carries further than any single coalition could on its own.

ANOHC provides a trusted forum where coalition leaders, whether seasoned executive directors or dedicated volunteers, can share information, ask questions, and leverage each other’s experience. We recognize that every coalition is different: unique in structure, funding, and the issues that matter most to their communities. That diversity is a strength, and ANOHC honors it while helping members find common ground.

Together, our members share a common purpose: to advance oral health at the state level through policy, prevention, and public education. ANOHC speaks as a unified national voice on the issues that affect oral health across the country.

ANOHC is entering its most active era yet. With new full-time leadership and expanded capacity, we are growing our network, elevating member work, and establishing ourselves as an essential national partner for anyone working to improve oral health in America.

Our 40 member coalitions advocate on behalf of 285 million Americans. When those coalitions are strong, communities benefit.

"Oral health is health and state coalitions are the engine that drives progress at the community level."

What We Do

Three ways ANOHC supports its members

Advance Policy

ANOHC helps member coalitions align on state and national legislative priorities, amplifying their collective voice in the policymaking process.

Share Knowledge

No coalition should have to solve a problem that another has already figured out. ANOHC creates the connections and resources that make peer learning possible.

Amplify Impact

ANOHC elevates what member coalitions are accomplishing, giving their wins a national platform and helping build awareness of oral health as a public health priority.
